Nearly 100 Years in Virginia

Carter Myers Automotive was founded as Petersburg Motor Company in 1924 in Petersburg, Virginia, by H. Carter Myers. Nearly 100 years later, Liza Myers Borches - representing the fourth generation of the Myers family - is our President and CEO.

CMA has a rich history in Virginia and in the automotive industry. What started as a single Ford dealership has expanded to include 24 dealerships throughout Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.

CMA Acquires Miller Auto Group

CMA is excited to announce the acquisition of Miller Auto Group, including two franchises in Winchester, VA, and three in Martinsburg, WV. With this acquisition, CMA will have 20 locations representing 18 new car brands and employing nearly 1,000 people.

2023 CMA's Cars & Cans

Our Quarter Two initiative, #Cars&Cans, helps provide canned goods to our local bank to distribute to families during the summer months. Summer is a tough season on food banks as they receive the least amount of donations and schools are out for break. Many families who relied on the free breakfast and lunch during the school year now have to take on that added responsibility. To promote more engagement, our dealerships created structures out of the can donations!
