The CMA team was proud to participate in United Way's Day of Caring in Charlottesville on September 25, 2019. The Day of Caring is an opportunity for local non-profits to get volunteers to work on projects that aren't covered by their grants and staff. CMA volunteered at Piedmont CASA - Charlottesville, an organization that trains Court Appointed Special Advocates who work one-on-one with abused and endangered children to assist the courts in determining the best environment to ensure each child's safety and well-being.

CMA team members tore down a fence & gate, built new ones, primed, and painted. We sanded, stained and polyurethaned three lovely wooden doors. We installed new interior cabinets and shelves to give them more storage. We sanded and repainted an exterior metal door at the top of the fire escape and some exterior trim. And we tore down a massive bush/tree that had grown to over 15 feet tall! It was a great day of hard work to benefit children in our communities.
