Nearly 100 Years in Virginia

Carter Myers Automotive was founded as Petersburg Motor Company in 1924 in Petersburg, Virginia, by H. Carter Myers. Nearly 100 years later, Liza Myers Borches - representing the fourth generation of the Myers family - is our President and CEO.

CMA has a rich history in Virginia and in the automotive industry. What started as a single Ford dealership has expanded to include 24 dealerships throughout Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.

Diane Lawson Celebrates 35 Years with CMA

 

Congratulations to Diane Lawson on celebrating 35 years with CMA!

Diane’s CMA career started in 1984 at our AutoRent location on Route 29 in Charlottesville. She did accounting, checked the cars and customers in and out, and basically anything else that was needed. We started selling cars and trucks off that lot, and soon opened “Truck City” next door. Diane moved over there to do deal work and help our GM, John McGraw.

CMA Donates Over $28,000 to #FueltheFight Against Childhood Cancer

Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) observed Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in a big way. For each vehicle sold during the month of September, CMA’s dealerships throughout Virginia made a donation to local non-profits that support pediatric cancer research and treatment and provide resources for local children as they undergo cancer treatment.
