Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Policy

CMA exists to Move Lives Forward. We understand that in order to successfully do this, we make decisions guided by our three core values -  People first, Everyone Wins and Never Straight but Always Forward.

We value each unique story and strive to create a place to embrace diversity, foster a sense of belonging and an environment where associates or all genders, race, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, disabilities and education levels have equitable opportunities to grow.  Our uncommon level of care goes beyond just helping people with transportation…it is how we treat each other always.

To provide informed, authentic leadership for cultural equity, diversity and inclusion in our workplace CMA strives to:

  • See diversity, inclusion, and equity as connected to our mission and critical to ensure the well-being of our associates, customers and the communities we serve.
  • Acknowledge and dismantle any inequities within our policies, systems, programs, and services.
  • Help to challenge assumptions about what it takes to be a strong leader at our organization, and who is well-positioned to provide leadership.
  • Practice and encourage transparent communication in all interactions and policies.
  • Commit time and offer resources to expand learning and promotion of diversity.
  • Lead with respect and tolerance.
  • Develop a system for being more intentional and conscious of bias during the hiring, promoting, or evaluating process.
  • Train our hiring team on equitable practices.
  • Encourage employer and associate contributions to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.

All associates of CMA have a responsibility to treat others with dignity and respect at all times, and are expected to exhibit conduct that reflects inclusion both in and out of work. Any associate found to have exhibited any inappropriate conduct or behavior against others may be subject to disciplinary action. Finally, if an associate believes they have been subject to, or witnesses any kind of discrimination that conflicts with the company' diversity policy they should seek assistance from a supervisor or HR.
