CMA in the Community

CMA’s Richmond Dealerships partnered up with the Float Fishermen of VA this past summer. Members of the group collected aluminum from CMA stores as a part of CMA’s Green Team’s recycling initiative. The funds raised were used to take children ages 8-12 from the Boys and Girls Club of Scottsville on a float trip. The group started their adventure at Warren’s Ferry and floated about 3 miles down the James River.

“It’s going to go to support our therapeutic foster care program and serve those kids. It’s the youth in our own local communities that are in foster care that are going to see the results from what we can do with this money,” said People Places Outreach and Communications Specialist Spencer Eavers.

CMA’s Valley Dealerships donated over 200 bikes during the 2021 holiday season, to the local Salvation Army Angel Tree Program to make a child’s holiday a little brighter.

CMA’s Toyota of Martinsburg donated 5,000 to the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia. The Children’s Home Society provides child welfare, behavioral health, social casework, and advocacy service including foster care and adoption to children and families in West Virginia. #movinglivesforward

CMA's Richmond Dealerships joined forces with the United Way in March and April to raise funds and purchase and assemble Literacy Kits. These Literacy Kits were given to local incoming kindergarteners at their registration in hopes of giving them a fun activity to get them ready to learn to read. 

CMA's Valley Subaru provided McSwain Elementary School classroom materials and was able to award several classrooms with $500.00 through the Adopt a Classroom program. This is all thanks to a partnership with CMA's Valley Subaru and Subaru's #SubaruLovesLearning campaign. #movinglivesforward
 

CMA's Valley Subaru has donated more than 100 blankets and over 30 care kits for patients at the UVA Cancer Center Augusta location.

There were also handwritten notes from CMA employees and customers giving the patients some words of encouragement. Some notes featured messages stating, “Not all heroes wear capes”, “You’re amazing”, and “Stay strong”.

CMA's Valley dealerships donated to our Cars & Cans Food Drive. Combined, they were able to take 2,049 pounds of food to our local Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. This donation will help to provide 1,708 meals to many of our neighbors in our community! #movinglivesforward

CMA's Subaru of Winchester held an essay contest at Orchard View Elementary School so classes could win money for school supplies! We also gave gas cards to every staff member and a donation to the school! What the video to learn more (and for some cuteness overload). We are #proudtobeCMA and are always #MovingLivesForward!
