Nearly 100 Years in Virginia

Carter Myers Automotive was founded as Petersburg Motor Company in 1924 in Petersburg, Virginia, by H. Carter Myers. Nearly 100 years later, Liza Myers Borches - representing the fourth generation of the Myers family - is our President and CEO.

CMA has a rich history in Virginia and in the automotive industry. What started as a single Ford dealership has expanded to include 24 dealerships throughout Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina.

CMA Honored with Corporate Citizenship Award

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce honored Carter Myers Automotive with the Hovey S. Dabney Corporate Citizenship Award at the annual Chamber luncheon. VADA Donates $75,000 to Flood Victims


On August 24, VADA made a donation of $75,000 to Neighbors Loving Neighbors, a relief fund set up to help those affected by the June flooding of Greenbrier County, WV.
