Congratulations to Diane Lawson on celebrating 35 years with CMA!

Diane’s CMA career started in 1984 at our AutoRent location on Route 29 in Charlottesville. She did accounting, checked the cars and customers in and out, and basically anything else that was needed. We started selling cars and trucks off that lot, and soon opened “Truck City” next door. Diane moved over there to do deal work and help our GM, John McGraw.

Kids & Car Safety


Effective July 1, 2019, children are required by Virginia law to be in a rear-facing car seat until at least age two. Keep them rear-facing for as long as they fit the height and weight limitations set by the car seat manufacturer. Once they outgrow the rear-facing seat, kids are still required to be in a child restraint device (forward-facing and then booster as they grow) until they are 8 years of age.
