If you see a CMA associate wearing a pink t-shirt or pink ribbon hat at any CMA dealership, it's not just to raise awareness in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each of those CMA owners made small contributions to the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation in order to get those shirts and hats.

VBCF is a statewide nonprofit committed to the eradication of breast cancer. VBCF advocates for health policies and research that benefit Virginians in all stages of the disease and provides resources for the most vulnerable in our state, including LGBTQ+ patients and rural populations...

CMA & Subaru of America Donated a Total of $14,000 to Local Schools

All 3 of CMA's Subaru dealerships participated in the Subaru Loves Learning program in September 2021:

• CMA's Subaru of Winchester raised $3,000 each for two schools: Bunker Hill Elementary in Bunker Hill, West Virginia, and Orchard View Elementary located in Winchester, Virginia.
• CMA's Valley Subaru raised $5,000 for Stuarts Draft Elementary School in Stuarts Draft, VA.
• CMA's Colonial Subaru raised $3,000 for Marguerite Christian Elementary School in Colonial Heights, VA.

CMA was proud to participate in the 30th annual United Way Day of Caring! Our team worked at the Rockfish Valley Community Center in Nelson County, VA. The Community Center houses a weekly farmer's market, a coffee shop, a thrift store, and artisan studios plus has a skate park and recreation fields. The CMA crew painted and stained their new outdoor stage and helped create a pictorial history of the Center by rehabbing 80-year-old window sashes into art frames. Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) is observing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with its annual #FueltheFight campaign. For each vehicle sold during the month of September, CMA’s dealerships throughout Virginia will make a donation to local non-profits that support pediatric cancer research and treatment.

Employees from CMA’s Valley Honda joined thousands of volunteers across North America participating in Honda’s fifth annual Week of Service, in which Honda associates conduct volunteer service activities in local communities.

CMA’s Valley Honda team worked at Creative Works Farm on various projects for Camp LIGHT, a summer day camp for at-risk youth and individuals with special needs. CMA is proud to support such an amazing organization and to be part of #TeamHondaCares! #CMAgivesback #proudtobeCMA

CMA's three Subaru dealerships raised over $49,750 for Virginia charities through the recent Share the Love Event:

• CMA’s Valley Subaru in Staunton, VA, raised $21,000 for Samuel’s Supper
• CMA’s Subaru of Winchester raised $16,363 for the local SPCA
• CMA’s Colonial Subaru near Richmond, VA, raised $7,047 for FeedMore, and $5,351 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

CMA’s Colonial Auto Center and CMA’s Volvo Cars of Charlottesville were selected as finalists in the Daily Progress 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards! The newspaper polls local readers for nominations and tallies the votes. Both Cville dealerships were finalists in the New Car Dealer category, and CAC was Runner-Up for Used Car Dealer!  You can find the full publication including all award categories and winners HERE. CMA’s bike drive this year was a huge success! Thanks to our associates, vendors, and customers, we donated over 700 bikes and toys to Virginia children:

415+ Bikes & Toys for Toys for Tots from CMA’s Richmond, Williamsburg, & Winchester dealerships

250+ Bikes for Salvation Army from CMA’s Valley & Skyline dealerships

40 Bikes + $4,350 for Toy Lift from CMA’s Charlottesville dealerships

A special shout-out to CMA’s Williamsburg Ford for their 1st Annual Brandon Stanhope Bike Drive. That store alone collected 159 bikes for area kids. What a lovely way to honor Brandon’s memory!
