CMA celebrated Earth Day 2021 by turning on a new solar energy system at CMA’s Valley CDJR in Staunton, VA. CMA was the first dealer group in Virginia to embrace solar energy, beginning in 2018 with CMA’s Colonial Nissan in Charlottesville where we built a one-of-a-kind solar superstructure atop our parking garage. During the month of March, CMA is bringing awareness to Suicide Prevention in memory of our first GM at CMA’s Williamsburg Ford, Brandon Stanhope.

For all friends and family across CMA who have lost a loved one to suicide, we are raising money for the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Virginia: NAMIvirginia.org. Now, more than ever, connection and support are critical to mental health.

CMA’s bike drive this year was a huge success! Thanks to our associates, vendors, and customers, we donated over 700 bikes and toys to Virginia children:

415+ Bikes & Toys for Toys for Tots from CMA’s Richmond, Williamsburg, & Winchester dealerships

250+ Bikes for Salvation Army from CMA’s Valley & Skyline dealerships

40 Bikes + $4,350 for Toy Lift from CMA’s Charlottesville dealerships

A special shout-out to CMA’s Williamsburg Ford for their 1st Annual Brandon Stanhope Bike Drive. That store alone collected 159 bikes for area kids. What a lovely way to honor Brandon’s memory!

When the COVID-19 pandemic slowed down business at Carter Myers Automotive dealerships, the business switched gears to help out community members. CMA created a community helpline and used their cars and staff to pick up groceries and medications or run other errands for people.

STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) — It’s National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, and Subaru is giving back as part of its Subaru Loves to Help initiative by donating 50,000 blankets to 600 homeless shelters across the country, including here in the Valley.

Carter Myers Automotive (CMA) observed Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in a big way. For each vehicle sold during the month of September, CMA’s dealerships throughout Virginia made a donation to local non-profits that support pediatric cancer research and treatment and provide resources for local children as they undergo cancer treatment.

CMA was proud to volunteer for the 29th annual United Way Day of Caring across Greater Charlottesville. Our team was at Georgia’s Healing house all day. Georgia’s friends and their healing house provide health, hope, and healing to women in recovery in our community.
